You can swim shortly after the salt dose is added to the pool or spa. Your pool will take several 40 lb. bags of pool salt that must be completely dissolved in the water to prevent surface erosion. Spas will take less. The chemicals must be balanced and a 24 hour grace period takes place before turning on your salt chlorinator.
